Chalo is a farm before it is anything else.
In the morning, water moves through the growing rows. Vegetables, herbs, and chillies are tended and picked. Fish move beneath the reservoir. The work follows the weather, the water, and what the season asks of the people caring for it.

Off the national grid
Chalo is 100% off-grid and runs on solar. The kitchen, the villas, and the work of the land do not wait on a line from Lilongwe.
The water is the estate's too. It is drawn from our own borehole, then purified and sterilised so it is safe to drink, and the growing rows are watered from the farm's own irrigation. That independence is the green footprint of the place.
